This is another pizza that Geth and I had in Inverness. We shared this one for lunch while exploring the town.
The Filling Station Margherita.
This pizza was perfect for lunch as it’s really light. The toppings were lovely – gorgeous-tasting chopped tomato – but the sauce was a little bland. Definitely one I’d have again though!
I did my recovery run this morning. I felt a lot more comfortable than I did on Saturday, even with all the aches and pains that have shown up this week. Fingers crossed for a manageable long run at the weekend.
It’s been a bit of a slow afternoon as I was tired post-run, but I got a lot of admin done and made a start on the list of agents for sending out my pitch later this week.
Hoping for a more productive day tomorrow.

Who knew there were so many ginger beers in the world? I didn’t. This is another one I discovered when Mum and Dad were in town last month.
Schweppes Ginger Beer.
This one tastes kind of retro. I can’t really explain it. It just sort of…reminds me of something that I maybe drank a very long time ago, when I was very young. I think I need a few more of these to try and work it out.
The hearingaidsaga is at an end for now! (I keep thinking of it in a ‘you’ve finished a quest!’ sort of way, which shows that my resumed videogame habit is already starting to affect my thinking. That was quick!) I went to pick up my new earmoulds at the hospital today. They’ve got that ‘new earmould smell’ that is making me nostalgic for early 2016, when I last got new earmoulds. I didn’t even remember that such a scent existed!
I’ve spent the afternoon getting on with writing and admin, and am looking forward to another quiet evening with my 3DS.
Tomorrow, I will finally have the chance to get on with this book pitch that was originally supposed to be sent out about six weeks ago!
OOTD: you can’t see them, but those new moulds are there. Scarf unknown brand (2019), jacket unknown brand (estimated vintage 1990s, bought at vintage shop 2003), Duran Duran t-shirt Amplified (2018), jeans H&M (thrifted from Steff 2016), trainers Reebok (2017).

Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus – Nothing Breaks Like A Heart Fleetwood Mac – Dreams
A couple more recently released videos for current chart hits.
Khalid – Talk
I really like the colourful sets and costumes in this one, even if there is a bit of ‘standing around by a car’.
Roddy Ricch, Chip and Yxng Bane – How It Is
Fairly typical urban-set video with lots of smoking and designer labels. I do like that there’s a scene in a launderette, which is a classic music video setting!
A more relaxed Sunday than usual, seeing as I got my long run done yesterday and didn’t have any travelling to do this weekend! I spent the morning doing a bit of housework (I really need to do some work on the house over the next few months because I’m finding it really depressing), got a bit of admin done, and am now looking forward to an afternoon and evening spent videogaming. It’s probably a bad time to have rediscovered my 3DS given how busy I am at the moment, but I’m finding it really relaxing!
Back to work tomorrow.
OOTD: love these vintage day dresses! Dress Fink Modell (vintage 1980s, bought at vintage fair 2018), belt unknown brand (vintage 1980s, thrifted from Mum 2019), tights Primark (2017), shoes La Redoute (2018).

This is the first of a nice run of quiet weekends leading up to the London Marathon! Geth and I have been away a lot recently so I’m really happy to be able to spend the next few weeks at home, getting on with the final and most intense stage of my marathon training and ticking off the things on my writing to-do list.
Due to the snow (and latterly Geth’s decision to go to a gaming tournament this morning), we didn’t go to parkrun today. Instead, I did my weekend long run, and it didn’t go that well. Due to a few setbacks, I wasn’t able to run for as long as I’d planned. However, I’ve got enough wiggle room in my training that I can swap weeks around, so I’ve decided to count this last week as a ‘rest week’ and try the same distance again next weekend. This means I’m still on schedule to do my longest long run on the correct weekend. Also, on the plus side, yesterday’s broken glasses have held together with the superglue, and so I was able to see while running!
I’ve spent the rest of the day relaxing with my 3DS! It’s been really nice to get a bit of videogaming done again.
Pulp – Sorted For Es And Wizz Squeeze – Up The Junction Chic – Le Freak Diana Ross – I’m Coming Out The Human League – The Things That Dreams Are Made Of
This is a pizza that was on the menu at the restaurant at the Jurys Inn where Geth and I stayed in Inverness for the half marathon last week. We ended up eating at the restaurant all three nights, because it was a bit far to trek into town when we needed to save our racing legs.
Jury’s Inn The Kitchen Vegetarian Feast.
This pizza was the perfect size (especially for pre-race carb loading!), with lots of veg and a really tasty sauce. It was so good I had it three times, which may explain some of my appallingly vast weight gain this last week!
I just had another pair of glasses frames snap on me. Two pairs in two days is beyond comical.
This time, it was my running glasses, which are even more essential than my prescription sunglasses and therefore can’t wait for me to buy a new pair. As such, I am currently attempting to stick them back together with superglue.
I am not one of those people who gets digits and limbs and furniture and everything else accidentally stuck together with superglue. I am one of those people for whom superglue just won’t work at all – it simply doesn’t seem to hold together. Glasses are currently on the kitchen table, weighed down by various things to hold them in place, with superglue on the join in the vague hope that it will decide to (a) stick and (b) set. Judging by past experience, I’m not hopeful.
In other news today: I got some really tedious admin and accounting stuff done (which is a relief), and I may be rediscovering videogames after a couple of years of not having the time, which is a bit alarming given the amount of other stuff I’m supposed to be getting on with at the moment.
OOTD: weather is super changeable today – half an hour after taking this picture it started hailing! Jacket unknown brand (estimated vintage 1990s, bought at vintage shop 2003), t-shirt Katharine Hamnett (2017), skirt unknown brand (vintage 1980s, bought at vintage fair 2017), tights Primark (2017), shoes Office (2018).
