Mum and Dad returned to the Commercial Street phone box this summer.
Not many changes here, but the paint job does appear smarter than in 2019!
Out into the Shetland countryside next week.

Out into the Shetland countryside next week.
Another phone box from Mum and Dad’s Shetland trip.
(Coordinates 60°08’13.1″N, 1°33’53.3″W.)
Missing its door and there doesn’t seem to be much inside, but it’s still hanging on!
Here’s the first of a series that Mum and Dad found in Shetland this summer.
(Coordinates 60°09’69.8″N, 1°32’17.8″W.)
Just one of many bits of décor around the place including lots of fake birds!
More from Shetland next week.
In mid-June, Mum and Dad reported that the North Shields ferry terminal phone box had disappeared!
However, when returning to the ferry terminal in early July, Dad spotted that it had been moved to a different location, a few hundred metres to the east.
Really glad to see that it’s still around!
A teensy bit further north next week.
Geth and I saw this one while spectating at the Great Manchester 10k.
(Coordinates 53°47’75.1”N, 2°25’01.3”W.)
As we were across the road (and the finish area was in the way) I couldn’t ascertain if this one is still in use. It seems to be a bit of a graffiti showcase at the moment, which is standard for city centre phone boxes!
Eight years later, while spectating at the Great Manchester Run this last May, we returned to the phone box duo outside Manchester Central Library!
Great to see these ones still standing tall in the city centre.
More from Manchester next week.
Here’s another one that Mum and Dad found in the Lakes!
(Coordinates 54°51’35.9″N, 3°16’75.7″W.)
Nice to see one with a phone in!
Somewhere a little less rural next week.
Here’s another that Mum and Dad found in the Lakes.
(Coordinates 54°57’77.6″N, 3°32’72.8″W.)
Another defibrillator box, clearly kept in good condition. It’s a fairly remote location so surprising to see this one has been turned into a defib, but great that it’s being used in this way!
A Cumbrian phone box today, from Mum and Dad’s travels earlier this year.
(Coordinates 54°66’74.5″N, 3°24’40.9″W.)
(You can’t see the phone box in the Street View image as it’s hidden by the edge of the building, but that’s where it is.)
This is a well-advertised defib box (it’s marked as a public-use defibrillator on Google Maps) and has been specially moved to the old railway station, as it’s not in its original place.
