There have been a few too many flying posts recently – life has been pretty manic and I’ve not had much time for blogging. Things are finally starting to wind down a bit, however, and I’m looking forward to some time off.
Long run day tomorrow. Crossing everything that the pain mitigation tactics will work!
I’m not doing very well with my scheduled blog posts at the moment! Life should calm down again in the next couple of weeks (I am really keen to get back to gamebook reviewing).
In the meantime, here’s a photo of some nettles at the side of the canal from last week. Not a very exciting photo but it marked the turnaround point of my long run so it was important to me!
Still chilling out this weekend.

It was AMAZING to be back at parkrun today, flying in a different way (at least for the last 800 metres – the preceding 4.2k was a bit of a plod). Having a slow Saturday now. More games from the parallel universe next week!
Third flying post in a row 🙄 Gutted as I’m itching to tell you about all the gamebooks I’ve been playing recently! However, Gamebook Wednesday #2 will have to wait till next week. I’m still massively snowed under with work.
I can at least promise a Phone Box Thursday post tomorrow. I will need a quick break from my final push to get all my day job work done before Friday… however long it takes!
No adventures in coding to report this week. I would like to have been playing with a few experimental games I want to make and working on my ongoing projects, but I’ve been snowed under with day job work and haven’t had the time or energy. Hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel by the end of the week!
