A fairly busy Thursday today. Geth and I were out at Slimming World in the morning – we both had small gains but that’s to be expected after a weekend away – and after a trip to the polling station to vote in the PCC elections, I spent the afternoon getting the house ready for our boardgaming gathering tonight.

A perfect Wednesday!

Not that I’m giving up my ukulele class any time soon – I’m already looking forward to the next term that starts in September – but it was really nice today to have a whole entire day to myself on the sofa!

Yesterday’s uncomfortable distracted mood was all gone – I felt so much more focused today – and so I was able to get nice big chunks done on four of my ongoing writing projects. I’m going to be a bit busier tomorrow, but I’m hoping for a similarly productive writing day on Friday.

A nice quiet day today – I spent most of it working for a client before getting a bit of my own writing done in the afternoon.

On the road again

Geth and I arrived back in Newcastle this evening after a weekend in Colne with the in-laws. I drove there and back and find that I’m getting more used to my new car now.

We had a nice quiet morning today and then went for lunch with my mother-in-law Anne – Boundary Mill in Colne have a nice new pizzeria. There was a lot of pizza this weekend so Geth and I will be doing Slimming World ‘SP days’ the rest of the week to make up for it!

A quiet evening in with writing and my 3DS before getting back to work tomorrow.

The Rod Stewart gig last night was a lot of fun. I’ll post a review later in the week!

Another night out tonight (this is not like me at all!) as it’s the end-of-term ukulele concert, and so I’ll be performing with the beginners’ group. I really enjoyed it last term, as you get to see all the more advanced groups playing.

In the meantime I’m just having a quiet day getting on with my writing.

In contrast to yesterday, I was awake super early this morning. This was for the best, as I had to trek into town to collect a gig ticket from the box office at the Newcastle Arena due to it not showing up in the post. Looking forward to going out to the gig tonight! I’m on my own as it’s Rod Stewart and Geth’s not a fan. I’ll do a review later in the week.

Just getting on with a few admin and writing tasks this afternoon before I head out.

I overslept this morning, so I decided not to go for a walk or to my dance class today and instead got on with work in the house. Geth is out boardgaming tonight, so I’m having a nice evening to myself with writing and music.

The rest of the week is a bit hectic, so it’s good I’ve been able to have a quieter day!

Nice to get back to running this morning at the Great North 10k. I was only a minute slower than last year, which is not bad given that I’ve had a month off! I’ll do a proper race review later in the week.

Since I got home, I’ve had my nose buried in my 3DS playing Bravely Default. Now getting a bit of writing done before bed.

Back to work tomorrow.

A nice quiet day today to end the week – I’ve just been getting on with admin and writing. Looking forward to starting the new series of Stranger Things tonight – I’m already having to scroll past spoilers on social media so it’ll be nice to get it watched this weekend!

I’m also looking forward to the Great North 10k this Sunday (although there’s been a bit of a palaver with them not sending my race number yet so I’ll probably have to pick one up on the actual morning). I’ve not had chance to run for the last few weeks so I’m not going to break any records, but I always like the route along the Quayside and back!

Hoping for another quiet day tomorrow.
