Still in East Anglia.

It’s another defibrillator, which is nice to see!

Still quite a few pretty village phone boxes in our future.

The next very narrow stretch of the A149 runs through Cley-next-the-Sea, which, like all good villages, has a phone box (and in this case a surprisingly detailed Wikipedia page).

I had to double-take a bit on Street View as the surroundings have changed so much (the Google cars haven’t been back to visit since 2009). This box is a bit faded, but still has a phone inside (and also a traffic cone for some reason).

This one is both a defibrillator box AND a book exchange. A multitasking box!

A double phone box example today.

The one with the beer signs looks like it’s providing free beer but I suspect it’s just an advert. The other box still has a phone in it, which is nice.

Another phone box from Mum and Dad’s East Anglia travels.

This one’s a defibrillator box, and is very nicely flanked by some greenery. The accompanying postbox looks smart too.

This one still has a phone in! I wonder if it sees much use?

It also makes a nice triple feature with the postbox and shelter beside it (this can be better seen on the Street View image).

Here’s the next from Mum and Dad’s recent travels. I found another on Google Street View while tracking down this one, so perhaps there’ll be another visit to Lakenheath one day!

Perhaps providing a bit of symbolism for the fast-moving nature of 2022, this box still had its Platinum Jubilee decorations up on 18th September (other slightly more up-to-date phone boxes were in mourning dress by then!). Behind the flags and children’s drawings, it’s another book exchange, which is always nice to see.

A rare one from east of the meridian!

The surroundings are a bit tatty at the moment with the roadwork barriers (it looks nicer on Street View), but it’s good to see another village book exchange.

Another phone box found by Mum and Dad. This one is a history box, which is a new one on me!

Big kudos to Tideswell Living History Group for this lovely idea. I hope to see more of these.

A nice useful defibrillator box at the crossroads of two A roads. There seem to be more and more of these recently, which is great.
