This is one of the famous white/cream phone boxes in the Hull area (and I think it’s the first I’ve collected). A bit of info about these boxes’ history here.

There’s an actual phone inside this one, which isn’t surprising due to the unique local history and subsequent preservation.

Phone Box Thursday: Main Street, Saxby All Saints

A phone box use I don’t think I’ve seen before…

This one is being used as a greenhouse, or it seems that was the idea. In the Street View image from 2021, the plants looked great – but unfortunately by 2022, it looks like they’d all died from neglect 🙁 It would be good if these could be sorted out, as it did look nice originally.

Phone Box Thursday: Main Street, Bonby

Here’s an interesting-looking grey… um, platinum phone box!

As can be seen in the Street View link, this phone box was still red back in June 2021 – it would have been redecorated for the Platinum Jubilee (hence the platinum paint and flag-looking panels). Mum and Dad reported some bunting having been left inside.

Dad wasn’t sure if this phone box was still in its original place, but the Street View history also shows that it’s been in the same spot since at least 2009.
