Last week was part two of my recovery fortnight after Chester Metric and so it was another quiet trip to Jesmond Dene. I was a bit disappointed to find I felt just as fatigued going up and down the hills as I did the week before, but it did mean that I ended up getting the Groundhog Day achievement (recording the exact same time at the exact same parkrun location two weeks in a row) after over a decade of parkrunning! I’d given up on getting it ages ago (because typically I rotate parkruns more than I have been doing this year) so I’d totally forgotten about it.
Starting to get into my 10k training now but keeping the build slow so it may well be another easy one this coming Saturday.
