It’s another fairly busy day today. Geth and I went to Slimming World in the morning – I maintained this week but I’m fine with that because it’s been a very up-and-down week – and I’m now spending the afternoon getting on with day job work, admin, and housework before our boardgaming guests arrive this evening for the start of our Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth campaign.

A slightly quieter day tomorrow.

Still no review posts at the moment because I’ve been busy catching up with admin and house stuff. I will get back to them tomorrow!

I went for a long-overdue haircut this morning, and then Mum and Dad popped in for a coffee at lunchtime – it was nice to see them (and to confirm that two cars will fit on our driveway, even if one of them is a giant Land Rover!).

I’ve spent the rest of the day doing house stuff and playing my ukulele. Geth is out boardgaming tonight, so the ukulele-playing will probably continue.

I spent today tidying up and sorting out the boardgame shelves with all the new games we bought at the weekend. It’s not quite finished yet – I also bought some inserts for boxes that will give me a bit more space – but hopefully I’ll have it done by the end of the week.

Geth has been out boardgaming today so I’ve had a nice, relaxing Sunday in the house, writing, listening to music, and finally getting on with a few sewing jobs I’ve been putting off for years. I’m itching to get on with house stuff again now but I’m a bit busy at the moment. Maybe over the summer.

More writing this evening, and then a nice bank holiday Monday to do some more catching up tomorrow.

An early bit of summer

It’s been glorious weather today (and it looks like it’s set to continue for the rest of Easter weekend, so Geth and I are planning to make the most of it!).

I was up fairly early to do my last ‘long’ run of the marathon training programme – race next weekend, eek! – and then headed into town to order some prescription sunglasses to replace the ones that snapped a few weeks ago. A bit of window shopping later, I was back home enjoying the sunshine in the garden (looking very neat now that Geth has mown the lawn for the first time this year).

Settling in for an evening of writing, and looking forward to more time in the sun tomorrow.

A more relaxed Sunday than usual, seeing as I got my long run done yesterday and didn’t have any travelling to do this weekend! I spent the morning doing a bit of housework (I really need to do some work on the house over the next few months because I’m finding it really depressing), got a bit of admin done, and am now looking forward to an afternoon and evening spent videogaming. It’s probably a bad time to have rediscovered my 3DS given how busy I am at the moment, but I’m finding it really relaxing!

Back to work tomorrow.

Back to the editing today – mostly for clients, but I’ve also had time to do a bit of my own work as well. I really can see the end in sight now for this book draft!

I also got our DVD shelves tidied up and have identified a few to sell through Music Magpie, which is a fairly minor house job but still the first house job I’ve managed to get done in months and months.

Looking forward to getting some reading done this evening.

I’ve spent pretty much all of today doing the super glamorous job of sorting out my accounts for my tax return. It’s nice to see my business growing year on year, but it is fiddly to get everything in order.

I’ve also been tidying (part of) the study so that Geth has a workspace for during his upcoming sabbatical. There’s still a lot of sorting out to do in there, and I’m a bit frustrated that I don’t have more time to do it, but it is all scheduled in and it will get done – just have to be patient.

Lots of running to do this weekend, but otherwise I’m looking forward to a quiet one!

…though it’s looking very plain and blank now I’ve put away all the Christmas decorations! It’s spurring me on to get some pictures put up in the living room this week, which is one of those house things that’s just not been done yet.
