This is the next phone box from Mum and Dad’s trip to Wales last year. Unfortunately I can’t tell you much about it as Facebook Messenger (where Dad sends all the photos) is a little buggy tonight – I can get the pictures off it but it won’t show the accompanying messages! I may update this post once that particular tech issue gets sorted.

It’s a fairly remote location so I expected there would still be a phone in this box, but sadly not.

Back in Wales today… but only just! This phone box is only about a fifth of a mile from the English border.

No phone or anything useful in this one, but the ivy makes it look very pretty!

Briefly hopping the border into England after a series of Welsh phone boxes.

This one is another defibrillator box! But you need a code to get into the defib, apparently, which might be a bit of a hindrance in an emergency.

This one is looking extremely unloved, sadly! There’s no phone inside or any sign of reuse plans, but they have left the phone wire…

Another rural Welsh phone box today.

This one is phoneless, a bit tatty and appears to be being used for junk storage. At least it’s being used for something!

A phone box outside a post office today.

This one has been turned into a book exchange, but probably very recently at the point when Mum and Dad found this box, as there aren’t very many books in there yet.

We’re in the next village over from last week’s phone box.

This phone box pulls double duty. Not only is it now a defibrillator box for the community, it also acts as a veg stall! The fresh veg is available to take and there’s an honesty box where you insert your payment. A lovely modern reuse and one I’ve not seen before.

A remote one tucked away in a hamlet today!

This one looks a bit tatty, overgrown and unloved. It does still have a phone in as of the date of capture… but also a potential removal notice 🙁
