Phone Box Thursday: Merry Christmas!

A few years ago, a fellow user on FetchEveryone (knowing I was a phone box fan) notified me of a phone box near her that is always specially decorated for Christmas. I realised I’ve never posted about it here, so here’s the BBC article about it.

I have actually featured this phone box before, but not in its Christmas state!

Anne also sent a Facebook link to this lovely one earlier today.

Hope to see some more Christmassy phone boxes out there!

Phone Box Thursday: Glamorgan Street, Brecon

Still in Wales! Here’s another phone box from Mum and Dad’s trip.

Red phone box, Glamorgan Street, Brecon, 10th September 2025.

There’s no phone in this one (it appears to be next to a pub so would have been a useful location back in the day), but it does have a sign on saying ‘This kiosk is protected for future generations’. This is great and hopefully we’ll see more phone box protection! It would also be nice to see a re-use for this one.

Phone Box Thursday: Church Road, Ton Pentre

Geth is from Ton Pentre originally and we often visited when his mum was still living there. However, we’ve not had much reason to return since she moved away, and so I’ve never photographed this phone box. Mum and Dad were passing through on their most recent Welsh trip and collected it for me.

Red phone box, Church Road, Ton Pentre, 10th September 2025.

No phone in this one and it’s a bit run down (as Ton can be in general, sadly) but nice that it’s still there.

More from the Valleys next week.
