Here’s another one that Bill sent in.
(Coordinates 51°33’72.3″N, 1°84’72.1″W.)
This one fits nicely in the space! It’s a doubly-reused box, providing both tourist information and a book exchange.
Heading north again next week.

Here’s another one in the Avebury area from Bill.
(Coordinates 51°40’66.0″N, 1°83’11.4″W.)
A book exchange today! And some bonus thistles – it’s become a little overgrown since the Street View image was taken.
Here’s another from the south that Bill sent in.
(Coordinates 51°42’83.1″N, 1°85’57.2″W.)
This one is in a lovely setting with all the flowers and greenery!
More from the area next week.
Bill sent in this Guernsey double earlier this month.
(Coordinates 49°45’40.6″N, 2°53’58.1″W.)
Nice to see an unusual paint job! Looks like this colourway is common in the Channel Islands. These ones could do with a bit of a wash, mind.
Something to look out for if travelling down that way!
Here’s the second of the two Bridge Street boxes.
(Coordinates 52°20’96.7″N, 0°11’68.9″E.)
Dad reckons this is a replica box and was never a real one with a phone; the laminate flooring inside would appear to support this. At the moment it’s doing a good job as an advertising hoarding.
Edit: some archaeology on Street View suggests it was a real phone box after all!
Even further south next week.
Here’s the first of a couple that Dad found along Bridge Street last month.
(Coordinates 52°20’91.2″N, 0°11’76.2″E.)
This one still has a phone in! It looks quite nice in this setting next to a churchyard.
We’ll head further up the street next week.
Here’s the other phone box from along the road between Colne and Skipton.
(Coordinates 53°93’23.6″N, 2°14’39.7″W.)
This one is a bit shinier than the one from last week, despite its missing panels. It is well-covered by trees so possibly less weathered than the average box.
A bit further south next week.
Finally got round to photographing the phone boxes along the road from Colne to Skipton. I’ve been meaning to grab these ones for years! There used to be three along this stretch but one seems to have disappeared. Here’s the first remaining one, in Kelbrook.
(Coordinates 53°89’89.5″N, 2°15’07.9″W.)
There’s a ‘This kiosk is now the property of the community’ sign in the door so hopefully they’ll find a good use for it! It’s looking a bit unloved at the moment.
Another from along the road next week.
Mum and Dad haven’t quite found all the red phone boxes in Dumfries and Galloway yet, as every so often a new one pops up.
(Coordinates 54°90’83.2″N, 3°91’76.1″W.)
It’s a bit of a sorry-looking example with no phone inside. Hopefully it’ll be adopted and repurposed soon.
A phone box news roundup as the collection and mapmaking have been quiet recently!
A potential new modern phone box use – vending machines. I’d be excited to spot one of these!
Another feature on the Surrey phone box graveyard. Endlessly fascinating!
A tourist information phone box! With an interactive museum-type machine inside…
Finally, this phone box had an interesting makeover for the coronation.
