I like the piano backing track on this one! Nice and atmospheric. The lyrical content is great too, a thoughtful and evocative rap about black culture.
The video is very moving, which is befitting of the subject matter – lots of celebrity cameos to spot too.
YNW Melly – Murder On My Mind
They couldn’t play this one on the radio. It’s fairly doomy and depressing.
The video is very dark and NSFW, opening with some bloodstained kids and a gunshot victim. Not for the fainthearted.
Pink – Walk Me Home
A bit too acoustic-y for my liking during the verses, but it’s got a great stompy epic chorus.
