Chilly sunshine

Another mile today….

…because I’m still busy. Hoping for a longer run sometime over the weekend.

It’s been another day of editing and writing, and it’ll be the same again tomorrow! It’s also been lovely and sunny, but quite cold, and so Geth has put the heating back on. Fingers crossed the summer arrives soon.

One more push tomorrow to get all my stuff done before the bank holiday on Friday.

Slow cooker
What’s in the slow cooker for tonight? (Spoiler: it’s curry. It’s always curry on Wednesday, because it makes for a nice light meal before Thursday morning weigh-in.)

Today’s earworm playlist:

Revo – ‘He Of The Name’
Midnight Oil – ‘Beds Are Burning’
Duran Duran – ‘New Religion’
Gerry & The Pacemakers – ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’
Little Mix – ‘Salute’
The Offspring – ‘Have You Ever’

Running over the hump day

I had a REALLY good run this morning. Midweek middling distance, which is four miles at the moment, and I felt I was able to get a bit of speed up in the second half. Lovely mild morning for it too – really hoping we don’t revert to ice and snow during February and March.

It’s weigh-in eve so I’m making slow cooker curry (with neeps rather than tatties as Geth and I tend towards SP (low carb) meals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). The house smells lovely as a result!

Slightly sleepy after my run, so while I am looking forward to ukulele class tonight, I’m also looking forward to getting home afterwards and curling up with some YouTube and videogames.

Slow cooker curry
Not an OOTD: curry in the early stages of slow cooking. I promise you it smells better than it looks 😀

Today’s earworm playlist:

Revo – ‘Ship Upon The Open Skies’
Russ Abbot – ‘Atmosphere’
Lady Gaga – ‘Always Remember Us This Way’

Need words, cannot brain

The last couple of weeks have been pretty full-on and I think I need to delete a few files from my brain now, as it no longer appears to be working.

Good things today:

  1. Rain cleared up for parkrun and I was marginally less slow than last week
  2. We won two out of three missions on our Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth campaign
  3. I (or my slow cooker, really) made the best curry for tea

I’d best leave it there. Hoping to be slightly more with it tomorrow.

Repurposed childhood marble collection
Not an OOTD: these are not the marbles I have currently lost, but they’re very pretty in my decorative wooden bowl with these tealight holders. I’ve had most of them since early childhood.

Today’s earworm playlist:

Michael Land – Jazzy Voodoo In The Swamp
Kygo and Whitney Houston – Higher Love
Jim Croce – Bad, Bad Leroy Brown
